My best friend Terri passed away on April 2, 2003, at 44 years of age. She
was diagnosed two years ago with breast cancer. It was a battle we all thought
she would win. We were wrong. Complications of the cancer took her from us
way too soon. Terri enjoyed life and especially her Tennessee Walking Horse
Rebel. It is not the same coming to the stables and she is not there.
All her friends miss her greatly and have decided to hold an annual trail ride in her honor.
This year’s benefit date has been set for Saturday, May 12, 2007. Coffee and a continental breakfast will be awaiting the guests’ arrival. Again, we will have two horseback trail rides. First trail ride will depart at 10:30 a.m. and the second at 11:00 a.m. A sandwich lunch and refreshments will be offered.
After everyone has a chance to clean up, the benefit will move down the road to the Pig Roast at Pleasant Unity Fire Dept. Social Hall. Starting at 6 p.m. there will be a pig roast, food, beverages (cash bar—proper photo ID required), live entertainment, auctions, and raffles.
Hope to see you back this year, it looks to be even bigger and better.
